When will computers be able to push you out the door?

For my very first blog post, I don't have much to say except the reason I've actually taken the time to set up my blog is because I can't get off my dang rear and go workout!

I know I need to. In fact, I WANT to.

So, I've done several random things throughout the last several hours to try and motivate myself to at least put on a sports bra. I've been watching sports on TV, including the Federer-Djokovic match from Cincy, and beach volleyball on that squiggly little channel called Universal Sports. I sent a desperation tweet to the @wutzhealthyindy crowd asking for inspiring thoughts or statements of guilt.

Although I got some inspiring tweets (via @Phoenix: Repeat 11 times: My body is a temple. Then listen to you inner voice and take action to give your body what it requests), I'm still here in the shirt I slept in, computer and phone and planner and checkbook and coffee cup piled in front of me.

When will the computer be able to slap me in the face? Or if the TV could have some sort of screeching emergency broadcast-type beeeeeep that leads to the scary voice declaring, "This is not a test. This is a laziness emergency and Liza Markle must step away from her to-do list and hit the treadmill."

Ok, that was a super cheesy paragraph. But suddenly, I'm ready to go. Like a slap in the face, this geeby blog has now made me realize that 20 minutes of running is better time spent than writing about my laziness.

To the 'mill.

Things that recently made me smile:
-The Icanhazcheezburger people sent me a YouTube message asking if they could post this video of my kitty on their video page.
-Yummy red raspberries from the Spencer Farm (Noblesville) booth at the Fishers Farmers Market
-Finding one of my dearest horse show friends on Facebook.

Things that recently made me wince:
-An online application that proclaimed it took 20 minutes and it took me more than an hour.
-This overcast, chilly Indiana weather in the middle of August (Please! No winter yet!)
-Seeing that my dearest horse show friend now lives in sunny Naples. I'm jealous!!!! :-)
